BAGUIO CITY — SM City Baguio assured mall goers that SM is safe and clean, as it welcomes back shoppers while beginning to fully operate under general community quarantine (GCQ), SM Shopping Center Management Corporation Public Information Office said on Thursday.
Strict safety and sanitation measures at the mall will continuously be carried out to comply with safety and sanitation protocols over and above government regulations as part of its campaign to promote #SafeMallingAtSM.
SM City Baguio also adjusted its mall hours, 10:00AM to 6:00PM, in compliance to the local government’s decision to observe gradual reopening.
SM City Baguio is thoroughly being cleaned and disinfected prior to opening and throughout mall hours, especially in areas with heavy customer contact.
Entrances are equipped with temperature checks, and with alcohol dispensers both at the mall entrance and restrooms. The restrooms are also sanitized every 30 minutes.
The mall requires everyone to wear face masks at all times, and lays emphasis on “safe distancing”, a gesture to promote safe malling practices to contain and overcome the spread of the coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The free Wi-Fi access is disabled and “leisure” establishments remain closed to discourage loitering in malls.
Shoppers are also requested to limit malling activities to buying essentials only, such as food and medicine, and accessing non-leisure services.
SM conducts COVID-19 antibody rapid testing to its employees and agency frontliners, including janitors and security guards. SM tenant partners are also given the option to avail the said test for their respective staff at a cost.
Mall employees undergo temperature checks regularly, at the start of shift and throughout the day.
