DTI urged to check water station prices and sanitary standards

SAFE DRINKING WATER. Price of purified drinking water remains at PhP25.00 per five gallon container in leading water refilling stations in Baguio City, while other retail outlets sell it for a steep PhP35.00 as demand for drinking water soars high. Senator Imee Marcos questions the huge difference in prices among water refilling stations and urges the Department of Trade and Industry to see to it that SRPs are enforced, and pushed for a monthly bacteriology water examinations to ensure safe drinking water amid the Covid-19 pandemic.
