BAGUIO CITY — The City Tourism Office on Monday, May 29, 2023 organized a lively welcome home motorcade to celebrate the resounding victory of Krishnah Marie E. Gravidez, who claimed the esteemed title of Miss Charm Philippines 2024.
Krishnah, born in Ilocos Sur on October 11, 2000, is currently 22 years old.
Krishnah’s exceptional talent led her to clinch the coveted title of Miss Baguio-Breathe 2022 while representing Barangay Irisan in the esteemed Miss Baguio 2022 pageant.
The grand event, hosted at the prestigious Baguio Convention and Cultural Center, culminated in Krishnah being crowned Miss Baguio 2022 on August 27, 2022.
This auspicious date aligned with the city’s Charter Day celebration, an annual commemoration held every September.
Krishnah’s remarkable achievement came after a fierce competition against 37 other hopefuls at the renowned Miss Universe Philippines Pageant, held on May 13, 2023, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, Metro Manila.
The 22-year-old beauty queen secured a spot in the top 5 and also garnered the prestigious Best in Swimsuit award.
As part of the competition, the five finalists were individually presented with a final question: “Recently, the Department of Tourism has adopted a new branding campaign, ‘We give the world our best.’ For you, what is the best that we could offer to the rest of the world? Why do you consider it so?”
Krishnah’s response struck a chord with the audience as she emphasized the profound significance of kindness.
She answered, “Kindness. Having to struggle at a very early age, I had uncertainties, but I received kindness a lot of times. So now, aside from it’s free, I give kindness to everyone. Because this kindness can go a long way, can motivate someone, or can give radiance to their days. Because this kindness also made me transform myself from a woman who had nothing, to a lady that has the universe in her doorstep.”
Shortly after the Miss Universe Philippines Pageant 2023 coronation night, Krishnah was bestowed with the coveted title of Miss Charm Philippines 2024 in a separate coronation.
The prestigious ceremony unfolded at the luxurious Cove Manila pool club, situated in Okada Manila, Parañaque City.
She will represent the country for the upcoming Miss Charm International 2024.
